Squash in Rye

Rye Squash Club provides its members with two well-lit squash courts, located in the main clubhouse.

Courts for social games can be booked in advance using our online booking system. You will be given access to this when you become a member. Coaching sessions are held weekly and fitness training as well as social events and inter- squash leagues and tournaments take place throughout the year. Private lessons are available from our club coach, Gary Marshall.

Junior and Adult Coaching

Coaching for all ages and standards, from complete beginner to performance level players. Group coaching sessions are held throughout the week, with individual coaching being arranged directly with coach Gary Marshall.

Tournaments & Events

If you’re a club member and a more competitive player, there’s a growing list of opportunities for match and competition play. We run regular club tournaments across most sports.

Frequently Asked Questions

Non-members may not play squash unless accompanied or introduced by a member. Guest fees are £5 per person per session. Please contact squash@ryetennisandsquashclub.org.uk if you would like to play as a guest. Fees should be paid before going on court.

There is no real strict dress code, however indoor court trainers are mandatory.  Any black sole shoe would mark the wooden floor.

The club has an online booking system for the squash courts, as well as the tennis and padel courts, with ClubSpark. You will be given login access to this on membership. You may book up to 14 days in advance.

Court lights are paid per visit,  and are located just outside each of the courts. £1 equates to 8 minutes.  So £8 is just over an hour.
