About the Club
Welcome to Rye Lawn Tennis and Squash Club, founded in 1922 as the Rother Meads Tennis and Games Club, on the banks of the River Rother in the rural outskirts of Rye in East Sussex. We are a Community Amateur Sports Club, run by our members, and welcome players of all standards and ages.
We are a friendly club and enjoy regular social events, as well as offering tennis, padel and squash coaching for adults and children, fitness training sessions, half-term and holiday junior tennis camps and the chance to compete in tournaments and matches.
Rye Lawn Tennis and Squash Club boasts an impressive array of facilities that cater to sports enthusiasts.
The club offers eight meticulously maintained grass tennis courts which provides players with an authentic tennis experience. It also has three floodlit artificial clay courts. The inclusion of two padel courts invites members to engage in this rapidly growing racket sport.
The club also has a dedicated croquet pitch. And as a hub for indoor competition, the club offers two squash courts. The club’s fully equipped gym stands ready with state-of-the-art training equipment. The inviting bar and lounge area provide a welcoming ambiance for members to relax and connect. Creating a well-rounded and vibrant community hub.
